It started with a coat hanger.
During lockdown, isolated at a barn in the Welsh Vales, I was walking for hours each day with a 30kg pack on my back. Training, working remotely, and preparing for whatever came next. The weight took its toll—until I clamped a coat hanger between my front straps as a makeshift sternal support.
That improvised fix changed everything. The cantilever effect shifted the load forward and away from my shoulders and lower back. I could carry more, go further, and actually drop my shoulders for once. I never missed a day to injury or fatigue.
When the world opened up again, it felt like something worth sharing.
From Improvisation to Innovation
Years of development followed. Working with a team to refine the design, we transformed that DIY solution into a universal accessory that fits any 0–25 litre pack. No need to replace your bag—just upgrade how you carry it.
The result is the Klïpp: a simple, effective tool for distributing load away from your shoulders and neck through genuine ergonomic principles.
Built from Real Experience
The Klïpp wasn't born from market research or trend forecasting. It came from lived experience and a genuine need. Every design decision prioritises function over aesthetics, practicality over gimmicks.
Whether you're commuting with a laptop, hiking a local trail, cycling to work, or carrying supplies as a parent—if you've ever felt the strain of a loaded pack, this was made for you.
